Code of Conduct for Players
As a Player for Falls or Steel Baseball, I agree to:
Respect the umpires. It is my manager’s responsibility to question the umpire when he/she seems there thinks there has been an unfair call. I will listen to the ruling and not harass or abuse the umpire at any time.
Respect my teammates and other players. I will not insult, criticize or verbally abuse any other player on my team or the opposing team. Such behavior destroys team spirit and will not be tolerated by Falls Baseball.
Respect equipment and facilities. I will have respect for the equipment I use. I will wear my Falls Baseball uniform with pride. I will respect and take care of the facility, the fields and the dugouts.
I will never resort to physical threats or actions to rectify a situation. This is a game, a place to learn and have fun. I understand any physical outbursts, or any occurrence of physical threats will be immediately directed to the executive board.
I will display good sportsmanship always. After every game I will shake the opposing players hand and let them know they played a good game. It’s not whether we win or lose, but it’s how we play the game. I understand that swearing, harassment or inappropriate behavior or language will not be tolerated.
I will remember I am part of a team. Every player on the team is different with different strengths and weaknesses. I will remember we win as a team and we lose as a team.
I will remember and respect the team that has made this all possible. The team of volunteers, parents, coaches, managers and umpires that work every day to help make my experience at Falls Baseball a memorable one.
